What is the velocity in underground piping

What is the velocity in underground piping

What is the velocity in underground piping

(OP)
Dear everyone.

I've the question for limit velocity at underground piping to fire protection system.

Any standards and referance book have not that.

After all I hope know " why NFPA did not demonstate limit velocity at underground piping"

If anybody have a solution about that, please let me know.

Thanks.

RE: What is the velocity in underground piping

Velocity is a self limiting issue for the most part. At high velocities, the friction losses are too great and you have to upsize the pipe. That is basically why it is no longer in NFPA 13, 14 or 24.
