Tie- Line Transformer protection settings

Tie- Line Transformer protection settings

(OP)
Hello,

I am seeking recommended protection settings for our new Tie-Line transformer. The transformer is an ABB Oil Immersed Transformer rated at 34.5kV high side - 13.2kV low side. Any help will be appreciated.

RE: Tie- Line Transformer protection settings

You will have to provide a lot more information: source side, connections, Short circuit level, protective devices associated with the transformer (breakers? fuses), transformer impedance....or hire someone to do the study.

RE: Tie- Line Transformer protection settings

"Tie-line transformer"? At 34.5 / 13.2 kV? Just what is your definition of a tie-line transformer?
