thread561-303129: Annotation Editor is very slow to edit any symbol or Annotaion
I searched Google for “nx annotation editor slow” and came across the above referenced thread.
In this thread JohnRBaker states that in NX 6.0 two different text editors were replaced with just one comprehensive editor. MANIK824’s observation as well as my own is that the comprehensive editor has performance issues that the simple editor did not.
Specifically when dealing with large text notes; when text is typed it is unable to be displayed in real time. While and end users may be able to handle this delay, when a KBE application utilizes this editor it results in a slow performing KBE application. I have a specific example in which a user is waiting over a minute. From a productivity standpoint this is a big issue.
Any idea on some creative ways to solve this. Is there a simple annotation editor that can be referenced via KBE to eliminate this performance issue?
