Hi All,
I am looking to find an alternate source for Fixed Range Positioner Cylinders( Variable Stroke Pneumatic Cylinder ) See below link for more info.

We are using this Variable Stroke Pneumatic Cylinder for many years without any problems but now are in process of reducing the cost of our equipment, hence we are trying to find an alternate supplier for this type of cylinder.
Can you guys help me in this matter.

The cost of the Variable Stroke Pneumatic Cylinder is £2660(USD 4380) hence we are trying to source equivalent cylinder from another supplier.

Do you want position control, or just the ability to remotely adjust a stop point occasionally, say changing product setup or something? Are there ways to mechanically adjust a stop point with screw actuator, then use a regular bang bang air cylinder against that stop?
How about the newer proportional controlled pnuematics, feedback Internal or external, prop valve and electronics.
Position control and pneumatics seem like oxymoron, but they are making inroads.
I have no experience with them at all, just see the ads.

Yes, we need position control.
This positioner cylinder is controlled from a servo valve( Pneumatics) which is in-built in the cylinder and can move to any stroke position. This position is maintained even under changing load conditions. The servo valve receives an analogue instrument control signal in the range (0.2 to 1 bar pneumatic signal) which determines the percentage of piston rod stroke in proportion to the signal. If the load applied to the piston rod changes, the servo valve will change the pressure conditions within the cylinder to ensure that the position is maintained. As soon as the control signal changes, the servo valve will adjust the pressures to bring the piston rod to the new proportional position.
There is no electrical or electronics involved in this system. It is pure Pneumatics.
Hence we call them as fixed range positioner Pneumatic cylinder or variable stroke( Multi-stroke) Pneumatic cylinder.
