RODI specification (Reverse Osmosis De-Ionised)

(OP)
Hello everyone,

I was asked to add an RODI spec/requirements to a 150# Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy (RTR) specification. My client requested to prepare Piping Specification for FRP pipe specific to RO and DI water service.

Can someone please point me in the right direction, I was unable to locate any specs online for RODI service.

Thanks in advance!

RE: RODI specification (Reverse Osmosis De-Ionised)

Hi there,

As far as I am concerned, there's no specific pipe requirement for RODI plant hence it really depends on owner's requirement. However for general and semi conductor industries, the most common pipe materials being used are PVC Sch 80 (ASTM D-1785) for pre-treatment line, SS 304 Sch 10 (ASTM A312) for RO high pressure line and PVC/PP for DI loop.

Hope it helps.
