I'm used to using phantom lines for detail circles and boundary of a detail view. Unless I missed it, I'm not seeing it in ASME. In Y14.3 (2003), they do show an example in figure 23 which shows the detail circle to be phantom, but I don't see any text specifically requiring it. Is there a standard, or at least a best-practice?
