Waffel slab

Waffel slab

Waffel slab

(OP)
If there is only one panel of slab 13m x 24m which is the best method for analysis.

RE: Waffel slab

If this slab is supported on stiff perimeter beams, it will tend to act like a one way slab at a 24/13 aspect ratio. WL^2/8.

The greatest trick that bond stress ever pulled was convincing the world it didn't exist.

RE: Waffel slab

Is this a floor between beams? if not,m what supports it?

RE: Waffel slab

There are 600 m.m. deep beams at the periphery and 7 columns on 24 m. Side and 2 intermediate columns on 13 m. Side. As beams and slab are cast at site monolithic we can consider slab continuous for BM calculations but whether same thing apply for depth calculations for deflection criteria. Regards.

RE: Waffel slab

Yeah, this still sounds like a one way system to me. I'd make that assumption for span to depth ratio purposes. Certainly consider torsion in the design of the beams and associated bending moments in the columns as a result of continuity.
