Cannot select a visible line in a NX 7.5 Master File in Drafting Mode (Migrated 2D IDEAS via CMM)

Cannot select a visible line in a NX 7.5 Master File in Drafting Mode (Migrated 2D IDEAS via CMM)

Folks,

If anyone in the community that has gone through the IDEAS to NX Migration process via Content Migration Manager (CMM), maybe you can help me with an issue. Have a NX Master File, which was originally a 2D IDEAS Drawing (all lines, splines, and points - with NO association to 3D Models or Assemblies). I am looking at the drawing in drafting, but cannot pick entities on the screen. They are not symbols that can be smashed. They are not on layers that are visible only. Heck I have turned off all layers with objects, and the entities still show on the screen. Help!

RE: Cannot select a visible line in a NX 7.5 Master File in Drafting Mode (Migrated 2D IDEAS via CMM)

If you Expand the view can you window these objects to get them to select? For your layers visible you have to use the layer visible in view command to get entities to act correctly with the layers.

Tried the Expansion of the View approach, no luck. The entities where visible, but not selectible. Have to attempt the layers visible in view approach.

Please forgive the overly obvious question, but have you double checked your selection filter setting?

Selection Bar is pretty much set to everything in the Detailed Filtering Tabs (Types, Detailed Types, and Display Attributes), with Layers with Objects all selected.

The 'Selection Filter' field should indicate 'No Selection Filter' which means that ALL object types are selectable.

'No Selection Filter' is slowing in the Selection Filter Field in the Selection Bar

RE: Cannot select a visible line in a NX 7.5 Master File in Drafting Mode (Migrated 2D IDEAS via CMM)

Will the lines hide when you do a show and hide? Do a hide all and then a show all? Do they hide and show correctly?

Are the Curves in the 3D model and processed down into the 2D drawing. Like a 3D model would be but these are just curves not 3D models?

RE: Cannot select a visible line in a NX 7.5 Master File in Drafting Mode (Migrated 2D IDEAS via CMM)

So While in your drawing Hit Display sheet command which should drop you into your 3D model space. Are the curves displaying here? Sorry For multiple post but I thought I would explain the previous thought a little bit more. If this is not the issue Can you dimension to the curves in your drawing?
