NX CAM using work offsets

NX CAM using work offsets

NX CAM using work offsets

(OP)
Is it possible to use a work offset on a 5 axis HAAS (Trunnion with a rotary) that does not use the center line of the rotary for a work offset? Have tried to set secondary MCS, 1 inch above the OD on a cylindrical part with OD holes. The rotary does not move in a canned cycle with out outputting X,Y values. If I set it to centerline of rotary it works fine. Is there any way to reference the axis of rotation?

Is it me or is there anyone else working with NX CAM?

RE: NX CAM using work offsets

Thousands of people use NX CAM every day.

I am not sure what kind of response you are expecting here. This is a public forum and many NX CAM users read it.

If you want to discuss in a forum, I suggest you explain the situation and your question more clearly, and post it in a more focused forum, like the Discussion Forum found in the Siemens Manufacturing Community at http://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/NX-....

You can also contact GTAC or your reseller for help.
