The Thread/Tap command

I've been working with this Thread/Tap command but I'm not seeing any threads in the hole I'm trying to create. What am I doing wrong?

RE: The Thread/Tap command

nothing... it's just info that will be used when creating 2d views or using Thread/Tap analysis

It's been a few years but I'm pretty sure I was able to create threads on a part using a tool of some kind. Maybe it was NX.

RE: The Thread/Tap command

You are actually creating thread, but as itsmyjob said, CATIA doesn't visualize the thread in 3D - it's pointless.

Ok. Thanks.

RE: The Thread/Tap command

Normally the threads are not shown. But in the Part Design workbench, there is a Tap-Thread Analysis icon that will show you the threaded features in 3D.
