Extrude Direction

Extrude Direction

Extrude Direction

(OP)
I am using NX 8.5. When I create a sketch and attempt to extrude it does
not default normal to sketch plane. Is there a setting that controls
extrude direction? As of now I need to define extrude direction every time.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Extrude Direction

I am unaware of any setting which will control this behavior. I've tested NX 8.5 and no matter what orientation I define my sketch in, as soon as I select even a single curve of the Sketch, the system defaults to extruding it normal to the plane of the Sketch. May I suggest that the next time that you open the Extrude dialog that you select the 'Reset' button in the upper-Right corner of the dialog and see if that corrects this behavior.
