Pump Repair Sheets

(OP)
You guys have been great to me lately and for that THANK YOU. I used to work at a refinery back in the day and we had our mechanics fill out repair sheets every time they rebuilt a piece of rotating equipment. When I left that role I didnt keep one because I didnt think I would be in rotating equipment again. Well, here I am. I was just wondering if some of you could upload the documents your millwright/pump guys have to fill out with all the as found as left measurements on it. CHEERS

RE: Pump Repair Sheets

Have you considered writing your own to suit your particular requirements after checking Google, certainly not rocket science.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

RE: Pump Repair Sheets

We have about 10 different repair sheets that our mechanics use for different pump configurations. Unfortunately, I am not able to share those. I would recommend that you start with the OEM repair procedures and specifications. For API pumps, a lot of the measurements (like bearing fits and wear ring clearances) are going to be dictated by API specifications. I would recommend that you start simple and add to the sheets after your mechanics get used to them. Areas to focus on initially are ball bearing fits to shaft and housing, wear ring clearances, seal chamber concentricity and face run-out, shaft run-out at coupling hub, impeller and seal, axial thrust float, coupling hub to shaft fit and head to case fit.
