Alert - Feature applied to different bodies since the last update

Alert - Feature applied to different bodies since the last update

(OP)
I'm a new NX user, in 8.5. I'm getting an alert on an extrude feature, that is created from a sketch and extruded to the next face, which is a sweep from a sketch. The alert is, "Feature applied to different bodies since the last update". I don't recall editing any of the parent features, although I guess I might have. Would that cause the alert? Is there any other way it would show up?

I can't figure out how to clear the alert, except for going into the extrusion, changing the parameters (from Until Next to a value), and then changing them back. Is there a better way to do that? The text of the alert makes me think there's some sort of Update command.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Alert - Feature applied to different bodies since the last update

After checking that the result of the extrude feature is valid/desired, right click on the feature and there should be a 'clear feature alert' (or similar wording) option on the context menu.

Thanks a lot! Any insight into what might have caused something like that? A change to the parent features, or the children?

Difficult to say without seeing the file. Based on your desciption, I'd guess the face that you are extruding to had a significant change.

RE: Alert - Feature applied to different bodies since the last update

I had the same thing today, I made a change to an extrusion (took some fillets out of it and put them in later I think) and the alert came up.

The problem once, I cleared the alert but it kept coming back. Also tried tools > update > update model but it wouldn't go away.

Think in the end I ended up changing the boolean and then changing it back to get rid of it.

A curious one.
