force-length experimental data
force-length experimental data
(OP)
Dear Colleagues,
Please, can anybody help by providing me with experimental raw data of active muscle (force-length)relationship.
The data that I'm looking for can be for any species (frog, rat, rabbit or human).
I will appreciate any contribution.

RE: force-length experimental data
Yes I'm new here in this forums.
Most of the papers that dealing with experimental data of skeletal muscles do not contains the raw data, just their figures or a part of these data. Also, some of them mentioned a link to their data on line which is not available any more. Besides, trying contacting them through e-mail.
However, the purpose from the data is to use it for modifying one of the non linear functions of the active muscle force-length.
Regards,

Now, that said, search for papers by Gordon and Huxley (and their citations, for the good old stuff) and Herzog for more recent experimental work.

RE: force-length experimental data
Gordon and Huxley (1966) give the data for the force-length near the plateau region and not for the whole frog muscle fibre range (the reasons mentioned in their paper), the descending and ascending region data are mentioned in other papers which one of them is not existed on line?
