Modify Projected Curve
Modify Projected Curve
(OP)
Hi All,
I have a sketch based around a projected curve. I want to modify (change diameter) the 'base' projected curve without losing the rest of the geometry. Is it possible to delink the associativity of the projected curve? This could be done quite easily in SolidWorks.
Thanks in advance

RE: Modify Projected Curve
Please provide some clarification. Do you project the curve while in the sketch or create a seperate feature outside of the sketch? Either way, you can double click on the projected curve, which will place you in edit mode. Under Settings is an Associative option, uncheck the associative option and you will then have a regular curve with no associativity to the projection curve(s). If you are in a sketch, it turns it back to a reguar sketch curve that you can manually constrain.
Hope this helps,

RE: Modify Projected Curve
Have you tried changing the diameter of that base curve and seeing what happens to the sketch ?
What you may need to do is edit the constraints in the sketch that are associated to the base curve and then change the base curve.
If I needed to do that then I would simply delete those constraints and create new constraints when the diameter is changed.
