Hello there.
could you explain to me please:
is the design calc. according PD 5500 for the full face type is sufficient according to ASME VIII Div.1?
as far as i know there is no reference in Asme calc. to this type !!
Does ASME accept this type of flange?

Please read again the Appx. 2, Clause 2-1(e), in reference to full face flanges per ASME VIII Div.1.

thank you a lot..
from clause 2-1(e) i understood that yes.. it is acceptable and there is no prevention to use this type of flange if it is designed according to the acceptable design method !!
