creating a basic dual valued dimension

I have been trying to figure out how to get the box to show up around a dual valued basic dimension in a drawing. i can a frame around the dimension, but it only goes around the main dimension. it will not include the alternate. i am using inches over millimeters. there is probably something simple that i am just not grasping. any help would be appreciated.

thank you, jason
