HEEELP! UPDATING PMI WHEN A PART CHANGES

HEEELP! UPDATING PMI WHEN A PART CHANGES

HEEELP! UPDATING PMI WHEN A PART CHANGES

(OP)
We have been thrown into the abyss of PMI and no one knows exactly how it works. not even the EGD&T group
I have a file that I need to update ( NX )
So when I open the drawing and replace the component the PMI dissociates. Re-associating leaders is doable, but does anyone know
where to go to update the dimensions that go to a moved area? - i thought it would be the same as the leaders? but apparently it is not?

RE: HEEELP! UPDATING PMI WHEN A PART CHANGES

I'm no PMI expert, but it is my understanding that the PMI gets added to the model file (not the drawing file); in the drawing file, the PMI and/or modeling views are imported and placed on the drawing.

Someone please correct me here...

RE: HEEELP! UPDATING PMI WHEN A PART CHANGES

Hi,
Can you please provide some images of the same. I presume you have defined the PMI dimensions at assembly level itself and then doing the replace component.
Best Regards
Kapil
