Re-loading a part file

Re-loading a part file

Re-loading a part file

Is there a way of re-loading an un-saved modified document without closing down CATIA and re-loading everything in session?

That's surprising, its something we would do regularly in NX. Is it possible with PLM integration (ENOVIA, Teamcenter etc)?

RE: Re-loading a part file

Warm Start??? Clear History??? (I don't understand what/why you want to do?)

RE: Re-loading a part file

Its quite commonplace on NX, when a group of designers are working on interfacing components you often want to re-load parts to see the latest saved version so you can design your part around it, without having to close down your whole session. Can you elaborate on what a warm start and clear history do?

RE: Re-loading a part file

Thanks for clarifying. Neither Warm Start or Clear History will help with updating the latest version.

SmartTeam has something that will help, but the part has to be saved (checked-in) to the vault first. SmartTeam shows a symbol in the tree when a loaded part is not the latest version, in which case you can use the REPLACE WITH SELECTED REVISION command to load (update) just that one part.

OK thanks for your help, hopefully we will get some PLM soon

RE: Re-loading a part file

You could try to unload the part and load it again....(right click on component(part)/components/unload)but I do not know if that helps though

RE: Re-loading a part file

(OP)
It wont let me unload if the part has been modified, even if its just showing or hiding components and elements
