Siemens NX - Is it possible to change new created reuse library files to current folder?
(OP)
Hello everyone,
I use NX 9.0 , at the moment i set the path for created library files N:\nx libray\...
But it can be problem sometimes when i open it "as saved".
I want to use "From Folder" option always.
When i need it i copy all files from N:\nx libray\... folder to my working folder, and go on. Hundreds of unnecessary files.
Are there any way, when i create put screws to my assambly, it'll save it to current working folder?

I design machines in office on my workstation, and i go with my notebook to presentation. It's always problem.
Or when i sell the design, it doesn't looks like professional in working folder thousands of unnecessary files.
As a result, i need from folder option..

I've one more question.
When i'm cloning the assembly it asks for a name rule. I want exactly same names. But it doesn't looks like possible.
Are there any way to clone files by same name?

I'm not sure if the trick still works in recent versions of NX.
If the trick doesn't work, you can create and edit a clone file:
