Stacking Tubes
Stacking Tubes
(OP)
Does anyone have the article by S.S. Safarian and E.C. Harris "Design of Stacking Tubes for Granular Materials" ?
When was the last time you drove down the highway without seeing a commercial truck hauling goods?

RE: Stacking Tubes
I used to work for a company that designed them and I have a copy somewhere. I will search and get back to you. Another reference is Handbook of Concrete Engineering by Fintel,Chapter 15, Reinforced Concrete Chimneys.
RE: Stacking Tubes
Does anyone else find it interesting that Bendog is helping out Berniedog on such an obscure topic? Maybe after my post Bevdog and Bertdog will chime in...

Who let the dogs out, woof woof.
RE: Stacking Tubes
Dogs are very smart. Engineers are relatively smart. Go Browns.
RE: Stacking Tubes
Would you mind sharing the structure you are working on, is it new stacking tube or an existing? What industry will be using/or are using it? Heigth of it?
If is existing do you have a pic of that? Is it located in high windor high seismic?
Just curious. I am in the industy that has a lot and I am expecting similar thing comes in my plate.
Thanks

RE: Stacking Tubes
Did you ever get the paper or article you were asking initially?
I am interested reading that paper, don't know if it has a design example?
Where can we find a design example? Ant idea?
Thanks
