Shaded View on drawing NX7.5
Shaded View on drawing NX7.5
(OP)
After I place the shaded view on a drawing is it possible to adjust the lighting of it ?
The reason I ask is because in the pdf of the drawing the shaded view looks much brighter than what I thought it should be.

RE: Shaded View on drawing NX7.5
If it's a normal Drawing view which has simply been set to be shaded, yes, you can modify the appearance of the view, but it's a sort of workaround.
While in the Drawing with the shaded view already created, you'll need to switch to the Modeling module. If you're working in Master Model mode (where the part is a Component in an Assembly file which is your Drawing) you must NOT go back to the models part file but rather stay in the 'Assembly' file. Now you can use the normal lighting options to change the appearance of your model. The easiest way to do that is to go to the 'Visualization' toolbar and select the 'Basic Lights' icon (the 'lightbulb') and toggle ON/OFF the lights as desired as well as change their intensity until you get the effect that you're looking for. Once you have what you want, go back to the Drawing module and your shaded view will now have the appearance of what you left the Model in. Note that if you have more than one shaded view on your Drawing that this will effect ALL of them.
Now if your 'shaded view' was just a image file that you added to your Drawing, then you're going to have to go back and create a new image file with the lighting effect that you want and readd it to your Drawing.
