Plate bending with perpendicular boundary conditions

Plate bending with perpendicular boundary conditions

Plate bending with perpendicular boundary conditions

(OP)
Hi,

This is my first time i have came across this sort of problem so have limited experience on the subject.

My problem is; i have a plate which is fully fixed at one end and side (perpendicular to each other) the remaining side are free.

The force on the plate is transmitted via a swivel hoist ring.

I'm looking for the max deflection and stress, i have a formula for fully fixed ends but not like my boundary conditions.

Anyone dealt with this kind of problem before?

Any help or suggestions would be great!!

Attached file gives all data within the sketch, assume material of plate to be standard S275 (275MPa) yield.

Thanks.

@rb1957 - Looking into it as of now......

@prex many thanks great example, to confirm the max deflection is 2.73mm?
