Dimethicone cleaning

Dimethicone cleaning

(OP)
Hello All,

I am in the personal care industry and having trouble with cleaning the equipment after products with Dimethicone. We use a solution of CIP 100 to clean in place, and we occasionally find rubbery silicon deposits on the equipment. Anyone has experience/tips on how to effectively clean silicon based products?
Thanks,

RE: Dimethicone cleaning

CIP 100 is a strong base. This may be degrading the equipment. Ask your manufacturer for a validated or approved cleaning procedure.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
