HDPEP vs HDPE

Can anyone clue me in on the differences between HDPEP and HDPE. I have regularily used HDPE on storm water application mainly, but have never heard of HDPEP until reviewing a set of plans. Very little info on the google machine also.

RE: HDPEP vs HDPE

Best I can tell from google is HDPEP is High Density PolyEthylene Pipe. It seems like a seriously stupid twist to the designation of an old product done by a new industry group that should just fade away.

RE: HDPEP vs HDPE

Tends to mean it's either a typo or someone is using some trade names such as "polypipe" in the description, hence HDPE polypipe, becomes HDPEP....

There is UHMW PE which is a stronger, more wear resistant than HDPE (or PE 100 as it should be called...) starting to appear, but I think you can forget this one.
