HI All,

Could really use some help here in ANSYS WORKBENCH 14.0.

The analysis system employed is transient structural. The model consists of a solid shaft rotating @3000RPM inside symmetrically placed end bushings/ bearings, for instance and simplification, hollow cylinders. The contact type is selected as frictional and the bearings on both sides are considered to be fixed completely by all translation and rotation DOFs.
I am trying to compute the frictional heating and ultimate seizure due to high temperature at local nodes on the contact surfaces, which was observed practically during one of the the runs of the shafts on field.

The contact tool in the solution shows frictional stress and contact status as sliding but the nodal temperature doesn't show as a valid user defined result. I would really want to know the rise in temperature at the contact areas due to which ultimate galling occurs.

Any comments on the above would be appreciated. Could provide more details or so if required.
