modelling grade/plinth beams in Etabs(3D analysis software)

(OP)
i want to know if it is right or wrong NOT to model grade/plinth beams in a building model for 3d seismic analysis. Is it right if i just provide minimum longitudinal and shear reinforcement in plinth beams(with situ under them) and don't model them in ETABS or any other 3D analysis software(it means i am not considering plinth/grade beams as part of seismic force resisting system).i am defining my base(foundation level) at grade level in my model, whereas, actually, foundation is going 4 feet below grade.
