PLC as an astronomical time clock

(OP)
Does anyone have any suggestions on sources/reference matls for implementing an astronomical timeclock using a PLC.  I have the PLC and numerous 480 volt lighting circuits.

RE: PLC as an astronomical time clock

Tuxedo,

The only suggestion I would have is to use the switch contacts on a mechanical astronomical timeclock as inputs to the PLC.  The mechanical time clock is relatively inexpensive and the PLC could handle the rest of the logic.

I didn't say it was a great idea.

Good luck.
