Merge Surface into just one Catia V5

Merge Surface into just one Catia V5

Hello;

I have a geometry composed by hundreds of little surfaces. A closeup in the picture.

All the surfaces are tangent and I want to join them into just one surface. I have tried with the Join and Heal commands, and even tried the "Create Datum" commmand, but still don't manage to achieve my goal.

When I use commands such "Curve on Surface" from the "Freestyle" module, I can just make a line in one of the little surfaces, and not in the joined/healed surface!! Doing one by one is not an option...

Any suggestion??

Thank you very much for your help!!! smile

if you are using R22, you can use the surface simplification command found in the GSD workbench

Mmmmh... thanks, but I am using R20...

RE: Merge Surface into just one Catia V5

have you tried healing AFTER creating the Datum? if it doesn't work, divide your datum surface boundery in 4 and heal these boundery. then try filling the surface.

lastly, try to divide your surface in smaller chunks. maybe to difficult to do that many surfaces at once.
