Boiler Controls, Europe and USA

(OP)
Hello all. I am looking to make sense of implementing EN 12953-9 and EN 12952-11 (they have essentially the same requirements with regard to my application). I am in the US but trying to produce a design that's applicable to both Europe and the USA for my safety systems for a hot water boiler (low pressure as defined in ASME CSD-1).

What I'm finding is that it's very difficult to source limiters in the US that are built and tested in accordance with the EN standards listed above. ASME CSD-1 references UL 353 for requirements for limiting devices, for which I am able to find some limiters (compliance listed in the limiter technical literature). My question is, does anyone know how harmonized UL 353 and EN 12953-9 are? Could I make a case to a European authority that UL 353 limiters meet the 12953-9 requirements?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: Boiler Controls, Europe and USA
