Polygonizing Point Clouds for Reverse Engineering in NX?

Polygonizing Point Clouds for Reverse Engineering in NX?

Polygonizing Point Clouds for Reverse Engineering in NX?

(OP)
Hello,

One can follow several workflows in order to reverse engineer surfaces in NX once the polygon geometry (STL/JT/...) is available, but...

Is there any tool/license/feature available in NX to create the polygon geometry from the point cloud?

I guess a Siemens product for so, could be Imageware - Point Processing, but Imageware latest release is dated back on 2009, and its functionality (mainly surfacing and polygon modeling as far I can see) is being integrated into NX.

Does anyone know if there are plans to integrate the point cloud and polygon processing functionalities into NX?

Thanks beforehand,
