Any regulations for moving an aging plant to the new facility?
Any regulations for moving an aging plant to the new facility?
(OP)
Hello all,
One of our clients has got an aging plant [may be about 40-50years old] which he wants to move to the new facility.
Is there any ‘regulations’ applicable when we move an aging plant to the new facility?
I tried searching on internet but all I got is ‘guidance’ on ‘what is an aging plant and how to manage it.’
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Can you be a little more specific, as in are you talking moving the equipment, the personnel, the operational plans... what?

First of all check equipment integrity that include inspection reports and maintenance record and then check wheather these equipment are fit for new location based on new feed. Further to this, piping sections you may need new because of aging factor or production increase.
inconclusion you can save much money by relocation of aged plant comparing to new plant.
your project cost will be approximately 55 to 65% of new, therefore, think on project cost also before start demolition and relocating.
