Dust Collector Filter Bags

Dust Collector Filter Bags

Dust Collector Filter Bags

(OP)
Hi,
I run a company that specializes in Readymix Concrete Plant Equipment, specifically Recycling Equipment, Filters for Cement Silos and Dust Collectors for the mixer plants. One of our clients wants us to run their maintenance programme for the filters and dust collectors.

Dust collectors internally have filter bags that need to be cleaned regularly (1-4 times per month) depending on production. We want to know if there is industrial equipment for the cleaning of these filter bags. Tipically, clients are using Italian made dust collectors from WAM or Scutti.

Appreciate anybody's insight,

Raul

RE: Dust Collector Filter Bags

You might want to take a hard look at your cycles and to determine if you can do it without affecting the production of the customer/plant. Fortunately, ready-mix plants do not run 24 hours a day, so evenings and week-ends are possible "dead" times when maintenance can be done. Multiple plants can offer maintenance time if loads and mixing can be shifted to another location.

The opposite would be a concrete plant that must run quite continuously (24 hours a day in some cases) because of the plant cost and ability/need to create inventories. This can smooth out out the "demand curve" and make maintenance scheduling possible. These types of operations usually find it easier to do their own semi-routine maintenance in-house and have employees that are very capable and tectonically oriented.

Your project will be to determine the feasibility to go beyond a single customer to many different operations with varying scheduling requirements and levels of experienced technical employees.

RE: Dust Collector Filter Bags

Filtration plant (baghouses) come in several types. The cleaning is normally incorporated into the equipment, not done separately.
