Inserting a part with 3 views into part dwg & assembly dwg

Inserting a part with 3 views into part dwg & assembly dwg

Inserting a part with 3 views into part dwg & assembly dwg

(OP)
Hello :)
An engineering drawing part with 3 views(top, front, end) are spaced apart differently in a Part drawing and in an Assembly drawing. The Only way I can think of is to have 3 files one for each view then insert them in the part drawing and assembly dwg file. However there are many files. A 10 part dwg will generate a 30 part view files.

I am using a script file to generate these drawings.

How to have 3 views for 1 part in a file and insert it with the appropriate spacing between them?

Thanks!!

RE: Inserting a part with 3 views into part dwg & assembly dwg

Hi,

Have you tried creating a layout?
With a layout you can have any number of viewports (views) that you want on a single page.  You can size and space the viewports to whatever you like and you can scale each view to whatever you need.

Hope this helps,

-Andrew
