ANNEX 3-F Design Fatigue Curves

ANNEX 3-F Design Fatigue Curves

ANNEX 3-F Design Fatigue Curves

(OP)
Gents,

I have one question about the annex 3-F.

What fatigue curve I need to use for the calculation of a high pressure sphere that have a weld joint in the middle of the hemisphere head? 3-F.1 or 3-F.2?

Also when I can use the both cases? I understand that the curve should be used to calculation of supports. That is correct or not?

Thanks

Kind Regards,

GFJ

RE: ANNEX 3-F Design Fatigue Curves

What's the UTS of the material. Shouldn't you be using the Structural Stress Method for a welded joint?
