Difficulties producing high quality render, is it possible?

Difficulties producing high quality render, is it possible?

(OP)
Hello everybody, I have just recently finished creating a model of an architect lamp in Solidworks and have begun trying to render it, but have ran into some difficulties. The render's I have produced thus far have been of OK quality, but realistically I believe they could possibly be better. To get an idea of what I'm dealing with, here is an image of the two best renders I have produced so far:

My main issue with the renders is the reflectivity of the model. The appearance used for the metallic parts is brushed aluminum. The base and shade seem to have the correct reflections to them, matching the appearance of brushed aluminum well, but the bars and braces making up the middle of the lamp just come out to be a simple grey, without exhibiting any reflectivity whatsoever. This is the type of appearance I am trying to get for the bars and braces:

I have tried just about everything to get the proper reflectivity, changed the background, environment, environment rotation, lighting, illumination, appearance properties, etc. but no matter what, I still get the same grey output for braces and bars within the model. I've pretty much ran out of options, and really am just starting to wonder if this type of finish is even possible at all. The only other thing I can possibly think of as to why I cannot get the proper reflectivity is due to my graphics card not supporting real-view, but from what I've read real-view does not have anything to do with render quality. So my question would be, is what I have rendered so far the best it is going to get, or is it possible to make it better, and if so, how?!

Thank you.

RE: Difficulties producing high quality render, is it possible?

First thing you need to do is use a Camera.

Then you might try adjusting the Bump and/or Displacement. Also play with the mapping of the material. your lighting and environment plays a role, but if your looking for a specific look, then the problem is probably in the material itself.
