(OP)
Does anyone have any convenient thumbrules for estimating rotor(impellers and shaft) weight for a multistage Boiler feed pump?

I am particularly interested in estimating rotor weight for a 7 stage boiler feed pump with a cast iron casing.

RE: multistage centrifugal pumps

Sorry I not aware of any easy rule of thumb in the public domain. For weight estimates we refer to internal empirical curves which are unfortunately proprietary.

The best you could do is look at published data from suppliers of this kind of pump and try to make your own.
