display order and paper space

display order and paper space

display order and paper space

(OP)
I have made a drawing/map in AutoCad model space.
then went into paper space and used MVIEW to view it through.
I proceeded with make notes on top of it with symbols with
solid hatched areas.
Now with that in mind.
I need the diplsy order to have all of the stuff in paper space to be on top of the model space drawing.
How do I get the solid stuff in paperspace to be on top?
and display order crap don't work.
I hope that it is possible to fix/get this to work.
thanks
wyatt

RE: display order and paper space

The way I would do this is place a text mask or "wipeout" entity (AutoCAD R14 bonus tools) in paperspace around the text.  Plot with hide on and the model space stuff under the mask/wipeout region should be hidden.

RE: display order and paper space

Well it might work for other things, but I just tried using this technique on a raster image in model space. And the text and poly lines were drawn in paper space over the view port.

The raster graphic seems to disappear when the mview hide lines is activated on that view port.

Grrr.

thanks anyhow. I'll just go back down to the modelspace and put all the icons and text there.

Wyatt
