WAVE PMI Linker for multiple instances of a component

Using native NX 8.0.3.4
No Wave Link Control module.

Using "WAVE PMI Link" only, in assemblies, is it possible to link the same PMI in multiple instances in an assembly?

Taking a very simple example, let's say Plate 1 is connected at 90 degrees to Plate 2 via multiple angle clips/brackets I'll call Part 3. I can make the hole pattern in Part 3 display as PMI and I link the entire body in Plate 2. However, I can only insert an 'associative copy' of that PMI onto Plate 2 once - only the original instance of Part 3. Let's say I have Part 3 placed 4 times along these plates. I would like to create an associate link to EACH instance of that bracket's hole pattern, not just one, for obvious reasons.

Hopefully I am missing something simple (other than getting the WAVE Link Control module so I can create an interpart link or some such thing). I could not find this specific topic via google or this sites search feature.

Or am I not forming my question well?
