Qualified thckness of welder

Qualified thckness of welder

Qualified thckness of welder

(OP)
QW-452.1 (b)
THICKNESS OF WELD METAL QUALIFIED states that
deposit thickness of 13 and over with a minimum of three layers
What does it mean?? also tell me if a welder deposits a thickness of 14 mm in 2 lawyers then what will be his qualified thickness??

RE: Qualified thckness of welder

Table QW-452.1(b) gives no limit of the thickness of weld metal qualified when a welder deposit the weld metal in the test coupon >= 13 mm and deposited layers is >= 3
If a welder deposits weld metal of 14 mm in 2 layers, Table QW-452.1(b) gives the qualified deposit thickness of this welder = 2*14 =28 mm

I hope this help
