Winch Failure/Operator Error

Winch Failure/Operator Error

Winch Failure/Operator Error

(OP)
Occasionally there's discussion about winch drums in the forum so I thought this video might be of interest to the members.
The accident happened in Australia, 2008.
Watch in the lower right hand corner as the hoist mechanism of the M4600-based Transilift appears to explode as the operator tries to save the fall by applying the drum brake.

Caution; there is offensive language used.
