Hi all,

I need to install some pressure sensors along on the tyre surface of a construction machinery. How could protect this sensors from the wear? By using silicone? Wich type of silicone would you suggest me? Any suggestion is appreciated

Thanks

RE: Pressure sensors protection from wear

Silicones are not abrasion resistant. Urethanes are generally much better.

It's interesing, but I have the feeling it compromise the sensor sensitivity. What do you think about?

If you had room to mount the sensor deeper, maybe you could get a custom miniature load cell with a replaceable load button.

Wear on the button wouldn't affect the load cell accuracy.
