Export deflected model in Ansys

Export deflected model in Ansys

Export deflected model in Ansys

(OP)
Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to export the deflected model from Ansys so I can fit it back into my CAD assembly to check clearances etc?

Thanks

RE: Export deflected model in Ansys

Hi,

I don't think ANSYS generates a deflected solid model, just a deflected mesh. You can export your deflected mesh and attempt to generate a solid model using the ANSYS FE Modeller tool. See the following link for more info:

I believe there are also APDL scripts hosted on the xansys archives for generating stl geometries from deflected meshes.

Good luck,
Dave
