New set view

New set view

New set view

(OP)
I've imported a Pro-E assembly and I've the assembly rotated of 180° different respect the real position.
I've created a new top view.
It's possible to create a new set view that are referred to the new top view ?

Thank you...

RE: New set view

Yes, right click on model views in the part nav, choose add new view set, and then pick your new custom view as the base view.

I think that should work.

Or move the assembly into the correct position and avoid the trouble?

Sorry, tried at the beginning and tried again with your steps, but nothing.
Are you able ?
If yes, can you provide a video made with NX capture video ?

Thank you...

RE: New set view

Sorry just re-checked, you don't need to create or pick a custom view.

- orient the model to your new top view position (I set the WCS and then oriented to WCS to get my position)
- create the new view set in model views
- select TOP from the dropdown, which makes your current orientation into the new TOP
- select which other views you'd like in your new set
- OK it

RE: New set view

@carlharr, I like that one. Never even knew the view set was there or worked that way.

@Anthony, can't remember how I found it, probably missed when I was aiming for something else without my glasses on!

Ok, I've done what you have wrote a displayed in the video, but nothing.
You are using NX8.5 and me NX8, maybe there is a bug.

Thank you...

RE: New set view

Just checked in NX7.5 and it's worked fine as well. Maybe if you record the same video someone might see where it's going wrong?

RE: New set view

This capability, defining a new 'View Set', has been a part of NX going back to at least NX 5.0.

RE: New set view

You need to expand the new view set once it's been created, you have selected the original TOP view at the very end of the video.

The new set is "collapsed" until you press +
