Turning on Feature # in NX 9.0

Turning on Feature # in NX 9.0

(OP)
I was hoping someone could tell me where I can turn on the feature number in NX 9.0. This would place a number before the feature, not the one in parentheses after the feature.

RE: Turning on Feature # in NX 9.0

I'm not sure that is an available option...

RE: Turning on Feature # in NX 9.0

Did someone suggest to you that this was possible? It's not. What you see is what you get.

The parenthetical numbers ARE the 'feature numbers', period. Granted, they will change as the order of update is modified or other features are added or removed from the tree, but this is all that we have in terms of indicating the 'name' of a specific feature.

Now there is an 'object ID' used internally by the system but those numbers are not anything that would make a lot sense to a user and they're certainly not something which could be read in such a way that it would tell you the order, and thus the number, of the feature in the model. This internal 'object ID' is permanent and never change and are generally not accessible or usable interactively by the user.

I could have swore that this was something you could turn on. I have not used NX for a few revisions, but now I'm back. So, maybe I'm wrong.
