How to use User Subroutine, "SIGINI", to define initial stress on beam element, B33 ?

(OP)
Hi,

I am modeling a simple supported I section beam with only one B33 element. In default ,this model with one B33 element will have 3 integration points along the length directions, and each integration point will have 13 section integrations points on the cross section.

I am trying to use " *initial condition , type=stress, USER" to define the initial stress. However, I am not sure how to do it.

I know I should create a "xxx.for" first. However, I am not sure about how to write the codes to assign the stress on specific section integration points at the specific integration point along the length directions . For example, I will like to assign normal stress, S11 = -10, on section points 1, 5, 9, and 13 at integration point,2.

Can anyone kindly give me some hint?

Steven

First of all you need Fortran Compiler connected with Abaqous.
Have you tried to compile any source code .for using Abaqus?
