Design of Column with heat exchanger attached..

Design of Column with heat exchanger attached..

(OP)
Dear All,

I have a column(U2 stamp) design with a heat exchanger attached to it with help of saddle, Client have provided us the Fx,Fy,Fz loads for both fixed and sliding saddle.

Note that the vertical axis of column and heat exchanger is parallel to each other but the heat exchanger is located eccentrically at distance of 1800mm from the centerline of the column

I would like to know how i can design this type of construction in PV elite. I presumes that the above loads only required to perform the local load analysis on the column where the saddle is attached and for the combined loading effect we have to consider the weight of the heat exchanger as an eccentric load along with wind area in PV elite, Correct me if i am wrong.

Consider posting on the COADE PVElite website. http://www.coade.com/products/pv-elite

There are experts there who can help you with this modeling issue.

They will require the registration/identification number printed on the cover of your User Manual.
