Beauty Salon - Occupancy Hazard?

Beauty Salon - Occupancy Hazard?

Beauty Salon - Occupancy Hazard?

(OP)
Does anyone have an opinion on what Occupany Hazard a beauty salon would be? I would normally refer to the Annexes in NFPA 13, Chapter 5 for the closest match, but nothing seems similar (maybe mercantile?). My feeling is that the fire loading is very low, and it could be considered Light Hazard. Your thoughts?

Sounds good

Unless they are storing kegs of acetone

Get a chemical list

RE: Beauty Salon - Occupancy Hazard?

The salons have all changed their chemistry and are no longer using isopropanol or acetone. Instead they use a solution of surfactants mixed with a small amount of isopropanol. Light hazard per NFPA 13 works all day long.
