Nastran vs Abaqus model

Nastran vs Abaqus model

Nastran vs Abaqus model

(OP)
Hi,
I am working with a Nastran model but I need to convert the model into an Abaqus model using the Abaqus's Nastran translator. The problem is that the results are not good, I have a huge difference between the displacements in the Nastran model and the Abaqus model.
I do not know if there is a better way to convert de .bdf to an .inp file or if someone is working with Nastran models in Abaqus.

Regards.

RE: Nastran vs Abaqus model

Are you possibly doing a linear analysis in one and a nonlinear analysis in the other? That could be one possible discrepancy if you expect your loading to be high enough

I finally found the difference, when importing the model Abaqus creates S4R elements instead of S4 elements.
