Suitable solution set for performing DIrect Frequency Response Analysis in UG

Suitable solution set for performing DIrect Frequency Response Analysis in UG

(OP)
I have worked on FEA for yesars in Model soultion, Now gradually moving to UG -Advanced simulation.
which solution method would be very suitable to perform direct frequency response analysis.
I tried SOL 108. But it warns me to input forcing frequencies. I had not given any such parameter while working on I-deas Model solution.
And i am not able to include the constrain"free DOF " into the solution SET

Using UG NX 7.5

Perhaps you are looking for the modal analysis (SOL 103)?

RE: Suitable solution set for performing DIrect Frequency Response Analysis in UG

Hi ninjaz,

Forcing frequency serves as the input frequency where you would be interested to compute the vibration response at that specific input frequency. I believe it is required when you use Sol108. If your purpose is just to find out the resonance frequency (in other words, resulting end product natural frequency based on your geometry), sol103 is all you need.

Kind regards,
Tuw
